Fantastic Feline!

Have you ever wondered if there is such a thing as pet astrology? Well, as a professional astrologer, I can confidently tell you that there is indeed a quite valid branch of astrology that covers our pets. In fact, it's quickly becoming a very popular astrological topic amongst astrology buffs.

Just as you might think, pet astrology works in the same way as it does for people. An astrology chart is cast for the pet using the date of its birth, location, and time of birth. Now, here's the catch.

The vast majority of people don't know what time their beloved pet was born because, under normal circumstances, there is really no reason to bother recording a time of birth. For reasons of astrological accuracy, however, it's actually a very nice thing to know.

However, if you're really interested in pet astrology, but don't have any way of knowing your pet's time of birth, there's no reason to despair. Just as long as you know the date of birth and location, a birth time of 12 noon can be used with reasonable results.

For instance, my wonderful cat, Jasmine, has been in my life for 14 years and she is without a doubt my special girl. I have a special bond with her that I've never quite experienced with another animal before.

The interesting thing is that I don't really know her true birthday (or her time of birth for that matter) because I purchased her at a pet store. The funny thing is that I got her as a gift for my ex-wife, but my ex often expressed that Jasmine was more my cat than hers because she was so much more attached to me than her. Cue evil laugh. ;-) Needless to say, I kept her when we got divorced.

As my knowledge of pet astrology increased, I discovered why we have such a tight bond. What I discovered is that I could compare my astrology chart to Jasmine's chart. This is called Synastry and is the exact same technique used when comparing the charts of two people for compatibility.

Since I didn't know her date of birth, I roughly guesstimated the day based simply upon her age when I got her. So, she was 6 weeks old when I got her and I just simply did the math and came up with a birthday of July 25th, 1995. Presto! I then have a fairly good astrology chart for my cat.

While I would very much rather know her exact date and time of birth, at least this date shows me two important things so that I can use Pet Astrology. First, I know what zodiac signs the planets were positioned around the time of her birth. Secondly, I can place her planets on top of mine so that I can see exactly what makes our bond so special. For instance, we both have a lot of planets in the zodiac signs of Cancer, Leo, and Libra which enables us to 'connect' effortlessly.

March 21 - April 19
