2008 ends with a lot of positive things in store for us. We can now breathe a sigh of relief as the intense Scorpio energy gives way to the more upbeat and optimistic energy of Sagittarius. The Sun, Mars, and Mercury start out in Sagittarius this month and help all of us to look back at this turbulent year with a sense of gratitude.

I know… I know, some of us have lost jobs and even our homes, but the Sagittarian energy allows us to simply be grateful that we’re alive and healthy. All of a sudden the spirit of “if there’s a will there’s a way” pervades our souls and we find ourselves renewed with a fresh start, new insights and perspectives, and a better appreciation for ourselves. Think of this process as being similar to surviving a chaotic storm and coming out stronger and wiser, and having gained a much deeper appreciation for the strength and resolve we didn’t know we had.

On December 27th, Mars makes its entry into the no nonsense sign of Capricorn. That makes a total of five celestial bodies residing in Capricorn (Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, & Pluto). Now, that we are fueled with new hopes and inspirations from the spirit of Sagittarius, we find ourselves very determined to make our way again and persevere toward our new goals or newly altered goals. At this time we need to start coming up with an ironclad plan and make sure that we consistently take the steps necessary to move forward one step at a time. However, Capricorn energy isn’t concerned with how big of a step.

In fact, baby steps work just fine, thank you. Capricorn energy just insists that we move forward toward our dreams irregardless of how far or fast we are moving. My final words for you this year is to honor this sacred wisdom of Capricorn and you will find will have accomplished more than you thought possible by the time all of the planets have left Capricorn (excluding Pluto) on February 14th.
