We will learn about the meanings of each house. Afterwards, we will discover how they work together with the planets to give us an incredible depth of information about ourselves. 
Okay, let’s begin. I always suggest that people begin this study with his or her personal astrology birth chart. If you prefer, you can choose to study the chart of your partner, a friend, or even a famous person that you admire. The choice is yours, but it’s good to remember that you will really start to understand astrology on its deepest level if you begin your study with your own astrological birth chart. This is because you have lived these planetary energies so you already “know” them. You just haven’t labeled these experiences yet.
The next thing I want to discuss is the astrology birth chart essentials. First, you need to know the three big things required to cast someone’s birth chart. They are: 1) the date of birth 2) the place of birth and 3) the exact time of birth (if possible). Most of the time, this information can all be obtained from a person’s birth certificate. Every single one of these elements is required to cast an astrological chart that is truly accurate. The time of birth is so essential because it literally decides the direction and tone of the astrology birth chart. This is because it determines which sign should be labeled as the ascendant or rising sign. The rising sign is the first house so the next sign would be the second house and so on. There are several internet sites that will cast your astrology birth chart free of charge if you have all of the required information. Among these are: Astrolabe, 0800-horoscope, or my favorite, Astrodienst There are times when someone will not know what time he or she is born. If possible, I strive to get the person to narrow down the time between two hours and I usually split the difference. If I happen to know the person in question, I will look at the rising sign for each time given and decide if it fits him/her or not. If a person has no idea what time he/she was born, what I do is use 12pm as the time of birth. Unfortunately, in this situation, the information obtained from the houses themselves is generally inaccurate. What it does give you, however, is the planets in the correct signs. In this way, I consider a chart such as this to be half of a chart since I can only obtain half of the information. It’s not useless, but it is in no way giving me the complete story. It is my greatest hope that the free astrology section will spark your curiousity enough to inspire you to dig deeper in order to gain a greater understanding of this material, and, most importantly yourself. This is kind of how I got started many years ago as a teenager pouring through my mother's astrology books!
