The comparison of the charts for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie paints a picture of a very hot-blooded and intense relationship. Theirs is a very unique relationship which has the potential to take them through blissful highs and turbulent low points.

There are a few interesting things that jump out when you compare these two charts. There is a substantially larger number of squares and oppositions (33 total) than trines, sextiles, and conjunctions (20 total).

When I saw this, I honestly had to wonder why these two were together in the first place if there is so much obvious tension between them. Just as a reminder, squares and oppositions tend to promote feelings of stress, strain, and pressure while trines, sextiles, and conjunctions tend to promote the feelings of harmony, agreement, and compatibility.

Each and every couple has their share of challenging aspects. Ideally though, a successful couple needs the number of harmonious aspects (trines, sextiles, and conjunctions) to be higher than the challenging aspects (squares and oppositions). Upon closer inspection, I was able to clearly see the major planetary factors that could be credited for their magnetic attraction to each other. Angelina's Neptune is conjunct Brad's ascendant in Sagittarius. This indicates that they idealize each other and there is a lot of putting one another on the proverbial pedestal. Their relationship is characterized by a very loving, dreamy, romantic vibe that really sets the tone for their union. This is a very powerful and significant aspect and it was obvious that when these two met, there was no turning back for either of them even though Brad Pitt was married when they first met.

Another aspect that jumps out is Angelina's Neptune making a tight trine to Brad's Jupiter in his 4th house of home and family. This only enhances the romantic tone of her Neptune conjunct his ascendant except this time they view each other as someone they would quite literally dream about starting a family with. In essence, they represent one another's ideal mate. This makes their union have a very blissfully fated or spiritual feel to it where each one just knows that they finally found the "one."

Angelina's Sun in Gemini falls in Brad's 7th house of marriage and partnerships indicating that, once again, she represents the ideal characteristics of his version of a soul mate. Their relationship is, undoubtedly, the primary focus of his life and joyfully so. In a sense, she mirrors back to him traits that he admires thus his attraction is partly due to his intense fascination with her.

Another interesting feature in their combined astrology birth charts is that Brad's Saturn falls into Angelina's 7th house of marriage and family. Since we've already mentioned the strongly romantic relationship, this placement symbolizes an enduring and stable bond that leads to a satisfying commitment and/or marriage.

In addition, Brad's Sun falls into Angelina's house of creativity, romance, and children which gives their relationship a very spirited, playfully romantic, and optimistic vibe. They also greatly enjoy children as their five children are obvious proof! As a footnote, this couple probably enjoys creative projects together immensely.

As I mentioned previously, this couple has several challenging aspects between them that need to be considered. One of the most difficult aspects they have is an exact square between each of their Mars. This gives quite a bit of dynamic tension between them. It could quite possibly even give a competitive edge around each other. Mars energy basically spells out our specific style of taking action. Since they each have their Mars in astrological signs that square each other, their individual ways of taking action are very different and probably very foreign to each other.

The main problem here is that they end up butting heads about exactly how they're going to handle certain situations whether it is something on a daily basis or something bigger that takes a lot of planning. It is a black comedy to be sure, but it is unreal how great their chemistry is together. Their Mars energy comes out in a playful way in the movie and that can definitely be one manifestation of the energy. Later in their real-life relationship, however, they must avoid letting their intense competitive natures come between them or else they might actually be trying to destroy each other in some way (probably not physically however!) just like the movie portrayed.

In addition, Angelina's moon is tightly square Brad's Mars which only adds to the intensity of the previous aspect. Only this time, their relationship can quickly become blemished by constant bickering which could quite possibly escalate to downright hostility if the issues aren't amicably settled. The upside to this aspect is that it tends to only add to the passionate emotional intensity they experience together. Can you say hot "make-up sex"?

Brad's Mars is square Angelina's Pluto and her Sun is square his Pluto. What this symbolizes is a potentially M-A-S-S-I-V-E power struggle in the works. They both have very powerful and willful personalities and with the square energy between these particular planets, the temptation to take the low road for ego gratification is greatly increased. Control and power issues along with the need to always being "right" could easily sabotage them.

On the other hand, if they are able to take the high road by being slow to anger instead of the "take no prisoners" attitude, they will have a powerfully transforming effect on each other. Ultimately, they will grow to have an immensely deep respect for one another despite their differences and learn to honor and admire each other's unique strengths. This, in turn, will have the effect of having them grow stronger and have more faith in themselves. As you can see, these seemingly harsh aspects can really give them some beautiful blessings if they learn to harness the energy correctly.
